DELIVERY
Delivery costs £7 or free on orders over £60.
Order by 11pm Sunday for delivery on Wednesday that week.
We use overnight delivery from the courier APC to make sure your order arrives fresh. As cheese is a perishable item we are unable to accept returns. You must give an alternative ‘safe-place’ to leave the parcel if you are not in. Sorry, but we cannot accept orders where you have not given an alternative/safe place for the delivery. Timed deliveries are not possible (the courier will deliver some time during the day) and if you are not in at the time of delivery, the courier will leave your order in your stated alternative/safe place.
Unfortunately, we are only able to offer delivery to England, Wales and southern mainland Scotland. If you are unsure whether you fall within this area, please check this map before ordering. If you accidently place an order for delivery outside of our delivery area we will only be able to refund your purchase less card charges.
PACKAGING
Your cheese is cut to order and wrapped in wax paper with a 2 week shelf life. We send your cheese in a Curlew Dairy branded box, complete with ice pack to make sure it arrives fresh.
STORAGE
Refrigerate on receipt. Use by the best before date shown on the packaging.

Old Roan. Contains unpasteurised cows milk. Not suitable for vegetarians.
Old Roan farmhouse Wensleydale

Unlike traditional crumbly Wensleydale, we use a slower, pre-war recipe which leads to a smooth and buttery texture. The flavour has all the lemon yogurt acidity you would expect from a Wensleydale, with mineral, earthy tones closer to the rind. We use unpasteurised milk, so the cheese truly reflects the ‘terroir’ of the farm. Everything from the pastures on which the cows grazed, the weather, the season and even the bacteria in the soil plays a role in determining the final flavour. The cheese is clothbound and aged in our maturing room for 3-4 months.
