ASSISTANT CHEESEMAKER. PART TIME
Hours: Thursday 6am-3pm. Hours may be flexible depending on circumstances, with opportunity to pick up additional hours / days in future.
Salary: Variable depending on experience, always above National Living Wage.

Who are we?
Curlew Dairy is a growing and exciting business with a small and friendly team. We make Yoredale - an award winning unpasteurised Wensleydale cheese made using milk from a single local farm. Yoredale is stocked with some of the best artisan cheese wholesalers across the UK, including The Courtyard Dairy and Neals Yard Dairy, and recently arrived on deli counters in the US!

A love of food and cheese is desirable!

Your role:
The role is varied and full training will be given, however experience of working within a food business is a bonus. The role will include all aspects of cheesemaking from milk to maturing room, alongside cheese turning, cutting and packing, record keeping and deep cleaning work areas and equipment.

You will be based at Curlew Dairy in Wensley, Leyburn.
